Resurrection Hope exists to glorify God by making hope-filled disciples through worship, community, and mission.
Why a new church?
Numerous denominational studies have shown that new churches are the most effective way to reach the un-churched and de-churched…
Our Leadership
Meet our Church Planter, Thomas Newman, and his family. Thomas was born and raised in Monrovia, Alabama by two faithful parents who showed him what it looks like to follow Jesus— through their discipleship, as well as the influence of many in the local church, God graciously saved him at a young age. Some formative experiences in Thomas’ life include…
Our Beliefs
Resurrection Hope Church is a church under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we are committed to contending for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3). In unity with the historic Christian church, we believe and confess the Apostles’, Nicene and Chalcedonian Creeds as accurate representations of Scripture’s teaching. In addition to these historic formulations, we are situated within the evangelical and reformed traditions…

We will be an elder-led, congregational church that is governed by a Book of Order. That means Resurrection Hope will be led by a plurality of elders who are called to pastor the flock; while the congregation will also play an integral role in affirming decisions recommended by the elders and contributing to the life of the church.

We believe that children and youth play an integral role in church planting. Children and youth are welcome to attend our interest meetings and prayer gatherings.
While we are forming new ministries, children get a front-row seat to seeing God at work. They witness people going from death to life by believing the gospel. They see mom and dad living missionally. They witness people not only coming to church, but being the church. They see needs met, and God answering prayers. And, as a result, our prayer is that our children would have a deeper understanding of the Gospel and the role of the church in the world.

We would love to invite you to attend one of our interest meetings. We want to get to know you, and help you discover your gifts. We believe that the Church does not exist for us, but we, the Church, exist for the world. We want to help people use their unique stories, personalities, and gifts to connect others to the hope of Jesus.

The U.S. population has increased by approximately 200,000,000 people since 1950. If you look at the population, compared to the number of churches and new churches, church planting is near an all-time low. And, unfortunately, numerous studies expect church closure rates to increase within the next ten years. The simple fact is: no one congregation can grow large enough to reach and disciple the hundreds of people who are moving to the Huntsville metro area each month.
